Robin Jones joined Columbia Threadneedle Investments in 2013 as Investment Surveyor, being responsible for sourcing, analysing and transaction real estate acquisitions which complement and enhance fund performance. disposing of assets following full implementation of the fund business plan and assisting Fund Managers with valuations, fund strategy, investor presentations and Client reporting.

In 2018 Robin was promoted to Deputy Fund Manager and in 2020 to Fund Manager of the Threadneedle Pension Pooled Property Fund (3Q20 AUM: £2BN), being responsible for devising Fund strategy, overseeing the implementation of business plan through the asset management function and reporting to Clients. Other responsibilities include sourcing, analysing and transacting new asset acquisitions as well as the preparation and subsequent negotiation of asset sales following the implementation of business plan.

In the role as Co-Head of Institutional UK Real Estate, Robin is also responsible for leading efforts to diversify the UK Real Estate institutional fund range. This has been achieved through consultation with our Clients and independent fund raising initiatives aimed at the development of new institutional strategies which are consistent with the longstanding Columbia Threadneedle investment approach.

Robin is a member of the Property Business Management Team and the Diversity & Inclusion Group with responsibility for the Social Mobility workstream within Columbia Threadneedle Investments.

Robin has over 15 years industry experience. Before joining the company, he worked at Deloitte Real Estate as an Assistant Director for UK National Investment and prior to this at CBRE as a Senior Surveyor, Capital Markets. Robin graduated with a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Liverpool, holds a MSc in Commercial Property Management from John Moores University, Liverpool, and is a qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
