Nita Tinn, Association of Professional Pension Trustees
Nita Tinn
Chair
Association of Professional Pension Trustees

I came to pensions relatively late having started life as a litigation lawyer. I have been a trustee since 2002, and took my first independent trustee appointment in 2005. I have acted as a trustee for a wide variety of pension schemes, both DB and DC and chair a number of pension schemes and investment committees, and am familiar with the challenges facing most trustee boards around funding, investment and covenant. I am a qualified CEDR mediator which equips me in my negotiations with both sponsoring employers and trustee boards.

I hold the PMI Certificate in pension trusteeship and am an Accredited Professional Pension Trustee. I chair the Council of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees, the body responsible for Professional Trustee Standards and for the accreditation of Professional Trustees.
