Renny has been at TISA for 4 years and is the Head of Retirement having previously held the roles of Retirement Policy Manager and Pensions Technical Officer. He has been in the industry for 30 years and has held various management and senior management positions at organisations ranging from a large mutual life and pensions company, a bespoke SIPP provider, an IFA and a platform technology provider. Qualifications wise he holds the CII accreditations of Certificate in Life and Pensions, Certificate in Financial Planning and Diploma in Financial Planning.
Mr. Cave and his team deliver high quality investment solutions and relationship management to Pensions Trustees, insurers, distributors and platforms in both the DC and Retail marketplaces. Clients range from small D2C platforms to large strategic partners of the firm and include the fast growing Master Trust universe. Through these relationships they help clients build DC Defaults, bespoke multi-asset solutions, volatility controlled products for use in variable annuities or iCPPI and single client BlackRock funds. They also provide access to 16 different fund ranges across 3 different domiciles, including active, passive, mutual fund, ETF, Life Funds and Cash.
Mr. Cave joined BGI in 2001as a member of the institutional client team before moving to a client management role in 2005, looking after DB, DC and Charity clients. In 2008 he moved to look after DC Platform relationships before moving to UK Retail in 2010.
Steve joined SEI in 2017 as SEI’s Defined Contribution Managing Director for EMEA & Asia. In his role, he is responsible for building upon the success of SEI’s UK DC proposition across global markets. Steve has 30 years of experience in the pensions industry, with particular expertise in defined contribution plans. He joined SEI from Vanguard Asset Management where he was most recently their Defined Contribution Manager for Europe.
Robert leads the Scottish Widows Employer and Employee engagement teams – his team create messages and material for adviser, employer and employee Pension Seminars and Engagement Events. They meet thousands of employees each year and talk to them about pensions and because of this Robert is a zealot about simplifying pensions for people. Increasingly he and his team are working with LBG digital resources to simplify pensions within broader Financial Wellness for employees.
Greer is an actuary and senior DC consultant who leads the DC engagement proposition at Hymans Robertson. Greer joined Hymans Robertson 14 years ago and has had a varied career across both DB and DC pensions. In her current role, Greer advises and supports a number of clients across various industries on DC matters, with pensions engagement always focussing heavily on her agenda. Greer’s passion lies in ensuring members are engaged with their pension, are aware of their options and have the ability to make well informed decisions.
Vincent co-founded Quietroom in 2003. He’s spent more than 17 years helping financial service organisations and government departments use language in a way that connects with the reader, strengthens relationships, and helps people make smarter decisions about the things that matter to them. His clients have included British Airways Retirement Plan, Bupa, DWP, Experian, HMRC, HSBC, ICR, Kodak Pension Plan, KPMG, Lloyds Banking Group, Prudential, Royal Mail Pension Scheme, The Cabinet Office, and Unilever. Vincent started his career in the theatre. He’s still a working actor, juggling his time between Quietroom and roles on TV (Bodyguard, Gentleman Jack, The Thick Of It, Cucumber and The Office) and in the theatre (This House at the National Theatre and Mary Stuart at the Almeida). His first book, Menus That Made History, is published by Octopus.
Charles French is deputy chief investment officer at Newton, providing leadership on investment process and strategy which includes responsibility for Newton’s thematic investment process and framework. Charles is also the investment team leader for Newton’s equity opportunities team. He previously led the multi-asset investment team and had oversight of the responsible investment team. Prior to this, Charles was co-head of research at Newton and a global industry analyst within this team. He joined Newton in 2000.
Prior to joining Newton, Charles worked in KPMG's financial business division where he gained his professional qualifications, becoming a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Charles studied Economics at the University of Nottingham. Outside of work, he is a rugby coach.
Mark is a partner of Barnett Waddingham and is Head of DC advising a number of corporate and trustee clients in relation to their DC pension and wider financial wellbeing issues.
As Head of UK Institutional Defined Contribution at Schroders, Tim is responsible for the design of the overall strategy of Schroders’ DC business and the delivery of Schroders’ investment proposition to our DC clients. This includes partnering with our clients and their consultants in the provision of investment solutions, tailored to the specific requirements of DC schemes and their members at each stage of their savings journey.
Tim joined the DC Team at Schroders in 2011 and is based in London.
Before joining Schroders, Tim was a Senior Investment Consultant at Towers Watson where his responsibilities included giving investment and strategy advice to a range of UK DC schemes.
Previously Tim has been a DC Client Director at Fidelity International as well as holding senior positions at MSCI and Mellon Global Investments Tim is a frequent industry commentator on DC issues and also a CFA Charterholder.
Kerry joined 20-20 Trustees in January 2020 and is based in the North West. She is an experienced consultant with over 13 years’ experience in the pensions industry.
Kerry is professionally skilled in administration, Defined Benefit (DB), Defined Contribution (DC), pension administration, employee benefits design, and employee engagement.
Kerry is the principal point of contact, supporting the Trustee Director, for a portfolio of large, complex pension schemes. She is experienced in communicating with members of the scheme, the service providers and regulatory bodies in respect of the progress of the scheme.
Kerry has implemented various projects across the DB and DC arena, such as the implementation of Master Trust pension schemes for a new employer and de-risking schemes.
Prior to joining 20-20, Kerry started her career in Mercer working there for nine years before moving to Peel Ports. At Peel Ports she worked with both DB and DC schemes with a focus on member communications. From here she moved to JLT as a Senior Associate Consultant and then subsequently with Mercer as a DC Consultant.
Kerry’s strengths include her organisation, attention to detail and diligent approach on project work.
Paul is a Managing Associate in our pensions practice, assisting in the provision of day-to-day advice to both trustee and employer clients. He has experience of incentive exercises, scheme mergers, the drafting of scheme documentation, member communications and pensions investment de-risking work (including acting in relation to the largest buy-in deal at the time). Paul also has expertise in pension scheme investments, having advised in relation to various fund structures and investment management agreements, including work in relation to ISDAs and GMRAs. In addition, Paul is part of our dedicated DC group and has advised extensively on the requirements following the introduction of Pension Freedoms. More recently in the DC space, Paul has been a lead in advising a number of clients on both the Trustee and provider side, in relation to the Master Trust authorisation and supervisory regime.
Steven is a Principal Consultant at Aon with over 20 years’ experience advising Trustees and employers on all aspects of DC pension provision, helping them to effectively manage their pension schemes by implementing effective investment and member communication strategies, meeting their regulatory duties and ultimately improving outcomes for pension members.
Sarika is Communications Manager for the SEI DC Master Trust and UK institutional fiduciary management business. She is responsible for creating unique content for pension scheme members, the trustees and their advisers. She joined SEI in 2019. Prior to joining SEI, Sarika worked at Dimensional Fund Advisors. She has 3 years’ industry experience and an MBA from Cornell University.
Peter Rutter is Head of Equities at Royal London Asset Management (RLAM). Prior to joining RLAM, Peter was Head of Global Equities at Waverton Investment Management. His team manages equity mandates for institutional, pension, charity and retail clients. Peter is also a global equities portfolio manager with over 18 years’ experience, and as head of RLAM’s global equities investment team, he leads a differentiated and successful investment process which is built around a corporate Life Cycle concept and includes ESG integration.
Peter is a CFA charter holder, a chartered management accountant (CGMA) and read Geography at Cambridge University, where he achieved a double First Class degree with distinction.
Peter’s commitments and interests outside of his role at RLAM include being a Governor of a primary school in London and managing the replanting and ongoing regeneration of 11 acres of ancient woodland in Hampshire.
Louise Sivyer is a policy principal in TPR’s Regulatory Policy Directorate. Louise joined the Regulator in 2007, and has worked in both policy and operational teams, across issues relating to both DB and DC.
Louise leads the team responsible for developing policy relating to the Governance and Administration of trust-based pension schemes. This includes the ‘Future of Trusteeship’ initiative, Pensions Dashboards and the regulation of DC schemes.
Before joining the Regulator, Louise spent 12 years working in the pensions industry in technical roles ranging across the pension mis-selling review, third party pension administration, and TPAS (The Pensions Advisory Service).
Donna has responsibility for the deployment of Standard Life’s workplace proposition. She has been heavily involved in our Workplace developments over the past 10 years and is passionate about improving the experience for our members, employers, trustees and advisers. A qualified actuary, Donna has more than 20 years’ experience across a variety of roles within Standard Life.
Tony Yu is a fund manager in the Indirect Property team, responsible for developing portfolio strategies, overseeing the indirect property team’s fund-research effort and sourcing secondary-market deals. He joined us in 2012 from ING where he was a UK fund manager in the ING Real Estate Select team. Prior to that, he was a portfolio analyst at IPD. Tony studied Economics at the London School of Economics and is a member of the AREF Data and Indices Committee. He has 18 years’ industry experience.
