Abhishek joined Hymans Robertson llp in 2022 as a Senior Investment Consultant and Head of Investment Solutions. In this role, he is responsible for advising a combination of LGPS and corporate DB pension schemes in the UK, which range from £300m to >£5bn as well as overseeing relationships with certain professional independent trustee firms and leading the corporate sole trustee offering for investment clients. In addition, Abhishek is a trustee on the Hymans Robertson Foundation.

Previously, Abhishek worked at Columbia Threadneedle Investments as Head of UK Pension Solutions, where he led collaboration with the UK pension fund community and their advisers, and had oversight of solution construction across the entire range of asset propositions. Prior to this, he was at Deutsche Asset Management, working with institutional investors. He has also held senior financial services consulting roles at Accenture (Frankfurt, London and New York). Abhishek holds a BA degree, with honours, in Economics from St. Xavier's College in Mumbai, and an MBA in Finance degree from London Business School. Abhishek is IMC qualified and also holds the Award in Pension Trusteeship qualification from the PMI.

Caroline is a Senior Investment Manager and leads Railpen’s stewardship work globally across £37bn of assets under management.

She was previously in charge of the investment, stewardship and collective engagement programme at the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA). Prior to this, she was Head of Public Policy at the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF).

She is Co-founder and Chair of the $4.5tn Investor Coalition for Equal Votes (ICEV) and the $2.5tn Workforce Directors Coalition (WDC), Vice-Chair of the Global International Governance Network (GIGN) as well as a fully accredited professional pension trustee at the Standard Life Master Trust – where she chairs its Investment and Sustainability Committee. She has won various industry awards, including as Women in Pensions and also Rising Star Awards “Investment Manager of the Year”, Investment Week’s “Investment Woman of the Year” and was picked as one of Financial News’ “Top 50 most influential in European Sustainable Finance” and “Top 25 Rising Stars of Asset Management in Europe”.

In her spare time, she is Co-Chair of the FCA-supported Vote Reporting Group (VRG) and is a Board Director of the Social Market Foundation (SMF), a cross-party think-tank.”

An experienced Professional Trustee with over 30 years’ experience in institutional investment. Graham’s background includes implementation of investment strategies for Schemes ranging from £25m to over £10bn. He has been instrumental in the development of hedge fund risk management, fiduciary management propositions and the use of alternative asset classes as a pension fund investment.

A qualified Actuary and well-known industry figure, Graham has built up extensive professional relationships within the investment and advisory community. He is a regular speaker at industry events and is a key member of the Pensions Management Institute’s fiduciary management forum.

Harus Rai is the Managing Director of Capital Cranfield, one of the UKs largest independent professional pension trustee firms. He is also the Chair of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees (APPT) and was one of the co-chairs of the Pension Regulator’s Diversity and Inclusion Working Groups.

Harus has nearly 30 years experience of working in the pension industry, the last 14 of which has been for professional pension trustee firms. He was previously the Head of Sole Trusteeship for Capital Cranfield and worked on the industry group which created the APPT’s code of practice on professional corporate sole trusteeship. Harus has also given evidence to the Parliamentary Committee on various topics including investigating liability driven investments and the 2022 gilt crisis; and the future of defined benefit pension schemes.

Katie is a Client Director at Vidett, the UK’s largest professional trustee and pension governance firm by number of clients. Katie is a governance specialist and scheme secretary who has worked in the pensions industry for over 20 years and is now part of a governance team of 50. She is hugely experienced, having worked in in-house pension teams and large consultancy firms (as a governance adviser and scheme secretary) and with a range of clients, trustee boards and advisers. She provides professional scheme secretarial support, enabling trustee boards to take key strategic decisions and achieve their long-term objectives. Katie believes supporting trustee boards to operate effectively during and between meetings, ensuring regulatory compliance and implementing successful governance frameworks ultimately deliver better outcomes for pension scheme members. Katie also leads Vidett’s adviser review team, supporting clients to ensure they have the right adviser, providing the right level of service at the right cost.

Mark has been working within the pension and pension income profession for over a decade and holds the title of Director of Propositions at Retirement Line.

He holds various roles across the UK pensions landscape including, Chair of PASA’s Industry Policy Committee and Chair of NextGen’s Research & Insights Committee. He is also a member of the PMI’s Advisory Council and holds EPMI status and takes part in numerous mentoring programmes.

Away from pensions, Mark was elected as an Independent City Councillor in May 2024. He is Vice-Chair of Peterborough City Council’s Growth, Resources and Communities Scrutiny Committee. He is also a member of numerous liaison Committees and Chair of Newborough and Borough Fen Parish Council.

Natalie Mee is a partner in the pensions team at international law firm CMS. Natalie advises on all aspects of pensions law, including corporate and bulk annuity transactions, reorganisations, benefit redesign and liability management exercises. She also has extensive experience in negotiating funding arrangements between trustees and corporates.

Natalie is on the board of the Pensions Management Institute London Committee. She is recognised by clients as “someone you want on your team” and clients praise her ability to “explain complicated concepts in a straightforward way”.

As a Partner and the Head of Marketing at Barnett Waddingham, Simon oversees the firm’s marketing strategy across all markets, driving growth through integrated brand, communications, PR, digital, and event initiatives. Simon’s expertise in professional services has led to significant client-focused advancements, such as an integrated client care strategy, a robust and evolving digital presence, and a dynamic events programme across the UK. Recognised as a leader in professional services and B2B marketing, he is frequently featured in industry podcasts, quoted in articles, and speaks at key events. Simon also serves as the Lead Partner for Barnett Waddingham's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts.

Tess leads strategy for global Mercer’s UK Wealth business, and advises some of Mercer’s largest and most ambitious institutional investor clients.

Tess chairs the Association of Consulting Actuaries (ACA) DC Pensions Committee and is a member of its Climate Risk Group. She chaired the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries’ working party on retirement savings, and is passionate about improving outcomes for savers. Tess has given evidence to the UK Government’s Work & Pensions Committee on pension scheme matters, and is currently engaging with the Treasury and DWP on pension reforms.

Having started her career in the industry in 2002, Tess joined Mercer in 2011. During her career at Mercer, Tess has held leadership roles across investments, funding, and DC.

Tess has a Master’s in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. Outside of work Tess is a Trustee of a GM4Women 2028, a charity focused on improving equality for women, girls, and the community. Tess runs “the World Cup of” series on Twitter and is considering a World Cup of Pensions Acronyms.
