Rising Star Awards 2023 | 16 November | Hilton London Bankside

Deadline for nominations is 5pm on Wednesday 17 May

Professional Pensions
launched the inaugural Rising Stars Awards to celebrate the emerging talent in pensions – recognising and identifying the sector’s future leaders as well as shining the spotlight on the organisations and individuals that are helping develop and foster new talent in the industry.

Do you work with someone who is a rising star within pensions? Or perhaps there is someone in your midst who has been a role model or mentor to those who are beginning their career working in the pensions sector. If so, we are ready to celebrate their achievements at the fourth annual Professional Pensions Rising Stars Awards.

The Professional Pensions Rising Stars Awards are about celebrating and recognising the achievements of those at the beginning of their career in the sector – shining a spotlight on their success and championing the organisations that do the most to develop young talent in the pensions industry.

How you can play your part

By nominating someone for the awards – or entering yourself – you will not only help to acknowledge the current achievements of young people in pensions, you will be helping to encourage and inspire the next generation of pension leaders.

 Nomination is quick and easy

You simply complete some basic details about the person, company or scheme you are nominating. You can also nominate yourself. Nominations can be supported with an optional 125-word statement. Once nominations have been received, the nominee will be contacted and forwarded a list of questions that they will be required to complete in order to progress to the first round of judging. A shortlist will then be created from which an expert panel of judges will decide the winners in each category.

The deadline for nominations for the 2023 awards is 17 May 2023

Sustainability

Professional Pensions is committed to the journey in becoming more sustainable. By using the guidelines set out by Ecovadis, we will be working towards the accreditation. The goal is to reduce paper consumption across events and improve recycling rates, curb food waste and alter menus with an aim to include locally sourced, organic produce. We have also committed to deliver carbon offsetting at events wherever possible and provide delegates with accessible venues. We will be closely evaluating each event and considering how we can improve in the following areas; energy, transport, water usage, recycling, economic and local environment/community.

Carbon Offsetting

Incisive Media have partnered with Ecosphere+ to ensure all our remaining greenhouse gas emissions are offset. Working with Ecosphere+, we calculate the emissions from all our events, including those from event operations, venues and delegates. We then purchase the equivalent number of carbon offset credits to counter-act our activities. These credits are supporting the protection of vital rainforest in Peru, by funding conservation work and creating sustainable sources of income for locals to minimise incentives for deforestation.
