Trustee Senate Autumn 2022
Keeping Clarity in Challenging Times
When imagining a post pandemic world, most believed we would return to "normality”, and all would be well once again. Were we, not just as a world but as an industry, naïve or just incredibly unprepared for what was to come? With a staggering increase in interest rates and inflation, trustees everywhere have been put under immense pressure to keep members reassured. Alongside this, trustees face ongoing stress from the introduction of the single code, the pensions dashboard and TCFD reporting just to name a few.
With a busy year ending, and an even busier one approaching, it's time to gain some clarity and regain confidence in ourselves once again as an industry.
Professional Pensions invite you to the Trustee Senate Autumn. Join us for a two-day residential conference in our magnificent venue in the heart of East Sussex, including meals, evening drinks and entertainment. After listening intently to the wishes of many trustees, we have carefully constructed an agenda packed with the clarification you need to keep composure in such testing times.
Trustee Senate Autumn offers you an insightful two-day line up of panels, fireside chats, case studies and boardroom workshops. This event will address a variety of topics, including CDC schemes, the do's and don'ts of TCFD reporting, the introduction of TNFD and much more. Our sessions will clarify any confusion surrounding a multitude of topics, whilst also providing support and advice for your schemes.
Dare to venture through the unknown of what next year has instore for us? Greet 2023 with a fresh attitude and stay ahead of the curve of the pension’s discussion. With such challenging times in addition to an already competitive market, you can't afford to miss out!

Sustainability
Professional Pensions is committed to the journey in becoming more sustainable. By using the guidelines set out by Ecovadis, we will be working towards the accreditation. The goal is to reduce paper consumption across events and improve recycling rates, curb food waste and alter menus with an aim to include locally sourced, organic produce. We have also committed to deliver carbon offsetting at events wherever possible and provide delegates with accessible venues. We will be closely evaluating each event and considering how we can improve in the following areas; energy, transport, water usage, recycling, economic and local environment/community.
Carbon Offsetting
Incisive Media have partnered with Ecosphere+ to ensure all our remaining greenhouse gas emissions are offset. Working with Ecosphere+, we calculate the emissions from all our events, including those from event operations, venues and delegates. We then purchase the equivalent number of carbon offset credits to counter-act our activities. These credits are supporting the protection of vital rainforest in Peru, by funding conservation work and creating sustainable sources of income for locals to minimise incentives for deforestation.
