Michael is a senior member of Aon’s Risk Settlement Group and leads advice on transactions all shapes and sizes, both for UK and overseas clients. He started his career as a scheme actuary before moving to Legal & General to lead one of their UK and US bulk annuity pricing teams.

Michael rejoined Aon in 2016 and has subsequently advised on over £10 billion of risk settlement transactions including, United Utilities £1.8 billion buy-in with Legal & General, Rexam’s £1.4 billion buy-in with Rothesay and Sanofi's £2.2 billlion series of buy-ins with Legal & General. Michael developed Aon’s ‘Journey to Settlement’ proposition, allowing clients to efficiently plan their endgame route, navigating the interactions of member options exercises, GMP equalisation and bulk annuity transactions
