Alan Pickering is President of BESTrustees and represents BEST as chairman or co-trustee on a variety of pension schemes and with assets under management of up to £13bn. Before joining BESTrustees, Alan worked at Willis Towers Watson for 15 years where he became a Partner and had overall responsibility for trustee training and other client facing initiatives.

Alan has also served as a non-executive director of the Pensions Regulator. He is a past Chairman of the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF, now known as the PLSA) and the European Federation for Retirement Provision (EFRP).
