Joe is responsible for policy areas including DB, DC, and LGPS pension provision, corporate and scheme governance and institutional investment issues. He is a Board member of the Cost Transparency Initiative, and an advisor to the LGPS Scheme Advisory Board (England & Wales).
Before joining the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association, Joe spent nine years at the Pension Protection Fund, where his last role was Head of Chief Executive’s Office. Earlier in his career he worked in policy and operational roles within central Government, including the Home Office and Defra
PTL as a Client Director (Professional Trustee) in March 2021 and has been a
Trustee Director for the Aviva Staff Pension Scheme since 2018 where she is
also Chair of the Audit, Operations and Governance Committee.
Anne has over 30 years working in the financial services industry around the globe. She previously
worked in internal audit at Aviva, investment and superannuation pension
consulting in Australia and the UK, risk management for the Pension Protection
Fund and in investment strategy roles in Japan and the US for a multi-national
insurance company. Anne qualified as an actuary in Australia and is an alumna
of the Sloan Masters Fellowship Programme at London Business School.
